Obituary of Robert W Purdon

Robert W Purdon, age 75, died Friday, September 28, 2012 at Valley Hospital, Ridgewood. Mr. Purdon was born August 1, 1937 in Maysville, KY the son of the late George and the late Mary (Heck) Purdon. He lived in Pompton Lakes. Mr. Purdon earned a BA in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was employed by Elizabethtown Gas Co. in Union, NJ and was also a self employed CPA. Mr. Purdon was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Pompton Lakes He is survived by his wife: Linda (Lamkin) Purdon, two daughters: Diane and her husband Anthony Mc Swieney, Andrea and her husband Thomas McCoy, two sons: Robert, Jr. and his wife Donna Purdon and Shawn Gibbons; Two sisters: Patricia Brischler and Sara Jacobellis one brother: James Wood Purdon, 11 grandchildren: Krystle, Robert, III, Kathleen, Michael, Rebecca, Alyssa, Kaitlynn, Christopher, Ryan, Megan and Matthew and two great-grandsons: Leland and Landen. Visiting hours will be Sunday and Monday from 4-8 PM. The funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 9:30 am at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes and will be celebrated by Fr. Frank Sevola. Entombment will be in Laurel Grove Mausoleum, Totowa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 20 Mercer Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601-5608
