Obituary of Mario J. Lucarelli

Mario J. Lucarelli, age 91, died Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Hospice of New Jersey in Wayne. Mr. Lucarelli was born June 11, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Giusseppi and the late Anna (Lamendolara) Lucarelli. He lived in Wayne for over 18 years and was formerly of Manhattan. Mr. Lucarelli served in the US Army during World War II. He was a bus driver employed by the NY Transit Authority. Mr. Lucarelli was a member of Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church. Mr. Lucarelli is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Mary (Serene); his loving sons, Joseph D. and his wife Ginny, Mario and his wife Francesca, Michael and his wife Maria, and James and his wife Wanda; his 11 cherished grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; and his dear sister Fanny Proscia. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral Mass will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke, Wayne and will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo. Entombment will follow at the Laurel Grove Mausoleum in Totowa.
