Obituary of Serge André Michel Roubé
Serge André Michel Roubé of Wayne left us suddenly March 13, 2019.
Serge was born in Clermont Ferrand, France, the son of the late Jean and the late Therese (Varagnat) Roube, he came to the USA in 1983 and became a proud citizen in 1995. He was a man of great joy, of great passion. He was also, first and foremost a man of great love. He loved music – the subtlety of Mozart, the bubbling guitars of Van Halen, the heartbreaking rawness of Leonard Cohen. He loved food - sushi ("have any Uni on the menu?" he would ask), his fish soups, and salsa by the spoonful. He loved his garden, he loved calculators, computers, clocks and their evolution and he loved the brilliance of science. Just as much as all of that, he loved people. He was an effervescing firecracker of charm, and joy, and excitement with every person he met. From the clerks at Trader Joes, to his friends, to his wife Nicola, daughter Dominique, and son Marc. He loved and was loved by people all around the world. To know him as a stranger would have been a joy, but to know him as friend and family was one of the greatest privileges we have, and will ever know.
He is survived by his loving wife Nicola (Duncan) Roube and his children Dominique Roube and Marc Roube and family in France.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home. We will be having a celebration of life service (non-religious) at 2:00 p.m.
After the service, there will an invitation to share food and drinks at their home in Wayne.
WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO WEAR "HAPPY COLORS"
