Obituary of Raymond S. Porter

Raymond S. Porter, age 68, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at home. Mr. Porter was born in Paterson, the son of the late William and the late Margaret (VanHart) Porter. He lived in Vernon and was formerly of Wayne. Raymond was a hunter and he loved to ride his Harley. Mr. Porter was a former member of St. Gerard's RC Church. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Susan (Dawson); three devoted daughters Sandra L. and her husband John Kleinsmith, Michele and her husband Steven Lewis, and Maryellen and her husband Peter Musco; his loving grandchildren Christine, Cindy Lou, Michael, Haley, and Emily; his cherished great-grandson, Mason; and his dear siblings, Kathleen Carter and Kenneth Schoonmaker. He was predeceased by his daughter Cynthia in 2013 and his siblings, William, Margaret, Dennis, and Ronald Porter. Friends are welcome to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 2-6 pm and the funeral Mass on Thursday at 10:00 am at St. Gerard Majella R.C. Church, 501 West Broadway, Paterson. Interment will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
