Obituary of Marilyn J. Tesar

Marilyn "Lynn" (Barker) Tesar, of Ringwood, formerly of Midland Park, peacefully passed away at home, on December 2, 2018 at the age of 86. She was the devoted mother of sons Bill, David "Rave", Steven and Jim Tesar, daughter Ann Bufardeci, son-in-law Carmen Bufardeci, daughters-in-law Rita and Laurie Tesar and 4 grandchildren; Lauren and Zoe Tesar and Michael and Matthew Bufardeci. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Kelly, formerly of Allendale, as well as 6 cherished nieces and nephews. Besides her relatives, there are many who she considered family and who consider her family as well. She never turned away anyone in need. Her love and generosity have touched many during her life.

An avid reader, she received her Masters of Library Science from Rutgers University. She worked for the majority of her career in the Ridgewood Public Library, often on the Reference Desk, and was instrumental in the success of the early days of the Bergen County Inter-Library Loan System. She had an adventurous spirit and loved music, the beach, travel, and many outdoor activities.

Friends are welcome to attend the visiting hours on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral Mass will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes.
