I was very sorry to read about Mark T. Winschuh. I didn't know Mark, but when I saw the name Winschuh, it brought back memories of long ago when I went to School No. 5 in Totowa, N.J. with Theodore Winschuh, a wonderful, intelligent, young man. I remember his good friend was Edward Schwarz. I also remember reading that Theodore passed away many years ago. I'm sure his dad was waiting to embrace him with open arms. May Mark rest peacefully.

.. Mark was the first friend that I ever had ... his company was one of joys of my childhood: And so as --- many of his brothers have always been so kind towards me ... I extend my sincerest sympathies -- to them: Saddened by your sudden loss. I've always remembered Mark as a gentleman at his core, a beautiful soul, a special person. And, with all humility that saying the following requires, there is solace: There's no doubt in my mind that he's made an uninterrupted bee-line for the heavens.
Finally, ditto all the above for my siblings, one of whom --- Deanna who's already commented -- the other being Sophia. Ditto again as to our deceased parents, Harry and Mary Papastrat --- as I know that they would want me to take the liberty for them, of thanking Mark for everything he gave them, as well.

Mark was probably the first firend I had growing up across the street on Baldwin Terrace. He was the closest in age of all the boys. Mark was part of all the sport games we played, and it is this part of my childhood that I cherish so much. I had so many memories of playing flash light tag, frisbee, football, bowling on Saturday mornings for 25 cents, swimming in our pools, and most of all our 2 on 2's in basketball.
As we drifted apart, I had moved down to Florida. I had a boy in 2000 and all day long on the driveway I re-lived what I did with the Winscchuhs again, playing sports. It is this time I realize how much I missed the Mark and the boys across the street and how I will always have fond memories of Mark and our love of sports.
He was taken too soon, and he will be missed.

I just heard of your loss. This affects me greatly. Even though Mark and I didn't keep in touch for long after we moved to PA, he was and will always be one of my most cherished friendships of my lifetime. All of my fondest childhood memories were with Mark and the Winschuh family.
A few of my fondest memories I will never forget - Mark’s small, little pet bird he loved so much as a child, eating Blue fish freshly caught after his family’s many fishing trips, swimming in his backyard, round pool, attending midnight Christmas mass together, and just the many countless hours filled with so many wonderful times spent doing what little boys do.
To say that Mark will be missed is an understatement. His life was taken too soon. He will always hold a very special place in my heart. May his memory always be a blessing. Prayers to all you during this difficult time.
All my love.

I am so saddened to hear of Mark's passing. My mom was always proud for her and my dad to have been a Godmother to one of the fine Winschuh children. They (and me as well) always felt that this is one of the nicest families we ever knew, and Mark was a shining example within it. My condolences go out to Bernice Winschuh and all her children at this difficult and heartbreaking time.
