Obituary of Sean Courtney Brandstetter

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Sean Brandstetter. Please keep Sean and his family in your prayers. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 11th at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. Visiting hours are 4:00 to 7:00 pm that day.

Sean Brandstetter passed suddenly on Thursday, October 4, 2018. Sean was born in Passaic on January 24, 1969 to Stella Flach (nee Dudek) and late Ronald Brandstetter. He spent his childhood creating memories with his older brother, Scott. The boys lived in Wayne before moving to Clifton when Sean was 13 years old. Sean graduated from Clifton High School in 1987 – it is there that he created friendships that he continued to foster for the rest of his life. Sean was a resident of Pompton Lakes. Living in his home for over 30 years, he was a prominent fixture in the neighborhood.

It wasn't until his mid-thirties that Sean met the love of his life, Jessica. They built their life together in Pompton Lakes falling in love more and more every day. They married October 8, 2011 and remained inseparable. It was unusual to see Sean without Jessica on his arm.

Sean was an avid fisherman – he spent years participating in fishing tournaments and he enjoyed taking his boat out on the lake for a relaxing day with Jessica. Sean also loved watching sporting events on television, including hockey, football, and NASCAR. He was a die-hard Flyers fan, creating a fun rival with Jessica, a Devils fan.

Predeceased by his father, Ronald Brandstetter, he leaves beautiful memories to his wife, Jessica (nee Crothers). He is also survived by his mother Stella and her husband, Ralph Flach; his brother Scott Brandstetter; his niece Adrianna Brandstetter; and his nephews, Dylan and Gavin Fink. In addition to many other relatives and friends, he will be missed dearly by his dog, Fozzy.

Memorial donations in Sean's name may be made to Emergence Church, 930 Riverview Dr, Totowa, NJ 07512, www.emergencenj.org
