Obituary of Louis Vincent Deise, Jr.

Louis Vincent Deise Jr., 92 residing at the Paramus Veterans Home passed peacefully on Thursday, September 13, 2018. Raised in Wayne, Louis (Lou) was a resident of Wayne for 70 years before moving to Mt. Arlington. He enlisted and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps, 5th Marine Division. Louis is a Purple Heart recipient for wounds received after the American Flag was raised atop Mount Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima. After returning home from the service he proudly owned and operated his own Trucking Business before retiring. Lou was a charter member and active parishioner of Our Lady of the Valley RC Church in Wayne where he faithfully served as a long-time usher. Lou is predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years Madeline "Lynn" (Ochecki). He is survived by his two daughters: Joanie Baum and her husband, Robert, and Susan Deise and her partner, Jerri; and his four grandchildren: Brian, Rachel, Josh and Alex. He is also survived by many loving nieces, and great nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, September 16th from 2-7 p.m. at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd, Wayne. The funeral will be on Monday at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home. A mass will be offered on at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Valley RC Church 630 Valley Rd, Wayne. Burial will immediately follow at Christ The King Cemetery, 980 Huron Rd, Franklin Lakes. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to the NJ Veterans Memorial Home, 1 Veterans Dr, Paramus, NJ 07652-4100.
