Obituary of Irene Elizabeth Salvano

Irene Elizabeth (Santos) Salvano, age 87, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018. Mrs. Salvano was born Scranton, PA the daughter of the late Anthony and the late Helen (Novak) Santos. She lived in Union. Mrs. Salvano was retired from American Can Co. in Hillside where she was a line operator.

Mrs. Salvano is survived by her beloved children, Lori and her husband Ernest Sickler, and Gary and his wife Donna Salvano; her loving grandchildren Robert Sickler, Gary, Jr. and his wife Ana Salvano, Jeffrey Salvano, Anthony and his wife Alexandra Salvano, and Alana Salvano and her fiance` Robert Duke; great-grandson, Vincent Salvano; her sister Jean and her husband Jack Lloyd; and many nieces and nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, three children: Robert, Michael, and Marie Salvano, her brothers Anthony and Ernest Santos, and her sister Eleanor Ramahlete.

Friends are welcome to attend the visiting hours on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lucy's R.C. Church, 118 7th Avenue, Newark.

Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
