Obituary of Don Casapulla

Don Casapulla, of Wayne, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2018, five days after his 80th birthday. He was born in Paterson, NJ on August 5, 1938, to Edith (nee Sanzari) and Mario Casapulla. After graduating from Eastside High School and Seton Hall University, he began a 35 year teaching career at Central and John F Kennedy High Schools. Retired for 24 years, Don loved to travel, to wine and dine, to exercise his body and his mind with impossible crossword puzzles and trivia. An avid fan of the NY Yankees and the Cleveland Browns, he was also a member of the Fidelians and the Do Good House.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Edna (nee) Lattanzio and his sister Thelma Laterra of Wayne, also his niece Jennifer Laterra (husband Dr. Michael Horowitz) of Wyckoff and nephew Joseph (wife Kristine) of Naples, FL. He leaves behind four adoring great nieces and nephews, Rachel and Joseph Horowitz, and Jack Donato and Jameson Laterra.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 14, at Our Lady of the Valley Church, 630 Valley Road, beginning at 9:15 AM followed by a funeral mass at 10AM.
