Obituary of Angelina Zisa

Angelina (Burrafato) Zisa, 88, of Wayne went to be with the Lord on July 24, 2018.

Born January 30, 1930 in Paterson, to Frank and Elizabeth (Balestrieri) Burrafato she lived in Wayne for the past 56 years.  Angie was very devoted to Our Lady of Consolation R. C. Church, where she was a parishioner since the church was founded.  She was a member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry where she made hundreds of shawls for those in need. Her passions in life were her faith and her family, especially her grandchildren who affectionately called her Nonna.

Angie worked as a seamstress at Ronele’s of Wayne and Iurato’s Bridal Shop in Hackensack.  She also used her talent by donating her time to create baptismal gowns for many children baptized at Our Lady of Consolation.

She is survived by her daughter Maria Zisa; two sons, John Zisa and his wife Elizabeth, and Thomas Zisa and his wife Sharon; and two loving grandchildren, Matthew and Alexa. She is also survived by her brother Angelo Burrafato and his wife Flora, and by her sister-in-law, Joan Burrafato, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 46 years, John J. Zisa, and by her brother, John Burrafato.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visitation on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 3-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 30 at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne, celebrated by Father Michael D. Lombardo.

Interment will follow at Christ The King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
