Obituary of Samuel Kuno

Samuel Kuno, age 85, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at home in Bedford, VA. Mr. Kuno was born February 18, 1929 in Ernest, PA the son of the late Samuel and the late Mary Ann (Yurka) Kuno. He lived in Bedford and was formerly of Wayne. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and earned a bronze star. Mr. Kuno graduated Summa Cum Laude in Electrical Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was employed by Singer Kearfott, Wayne as an Electrical Engineering Specialist for over 35 years. Mr. Kuno attended Hawthorne Gospel Church and enjoyed woodworking and electronics repair. He also loved to camp, boat and fish at Lake Hopatcong and was deeply devoted to his family. He is survived by his children; Linda and her husband Don Gross and Mark and his wife Sarah Kuno, two sisters: Jeanne McCoy and Teresa Gaul and his grandsons, Derek and Ryan Gross. He was predeceased by his wife Clara May (Winter), his brother, Michael Kuno and sisters, Margaret Dohanick & Emma Kuno. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 9-11 AM. Following the visiting, the funeral service will be at 11:00 am will be celebrated by Rev. Michael McKay. Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
