Obituary of Irma Russo

Irma (Seville) Russo, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. Mrs. Russo was born in Paterson, the daughter of the late William and the late Helen (Gambaro) Seville. She lived in Wayne and was formerly of Haledon. Mrs. Russo was a sales clerk at Mandee's in Wayne and also worked as a coat-check person at the Wayne Manor for many years. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of D.A.V. Chapter #2, Clifton; a former member of the Riverside Vets in Paterson and a former member of B.P.O.E. in Elmwood Park. In her younger years Mrs. Russo enjoyed roller skating in costumes that she had sewn for herself and was an avid fan of all water sports and the beach. She was known for enjoying a visit to a casino and playing bingo too.

Mrs. Russo is survived by her beloved son Vincent Russo, wife Georgeann; her loving grandchildren, Michael Russo, wife Amy, Brian Russo, wife Shana, Dana Wagoner, husband Ben, Jason Russo and wife Judith; her cherished great-grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, Logan and Santino; her dear brother Richard Seville, wife Jenny, daughter-in-law, Marie Minerva and husband Richard.

She was predeceased by her husband, Michael; her son Gary, and her brothers Warren, who was her twin, Lawrence and William.

Friends are welcome to attend the visiting hours on Monday, June 11, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and the funeral service on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. which will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo.

Entombment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum, Totowa.
