Obituary of Anthony M. Tozzi

Anthony M. Tozzi, age 94, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018. Mr. Tozzi was born in Jersey City, the son of the late Michael A. and the late Rose (Morganti) Tozzi. He lived in Jersey City most of his life before recently moving to Oakland. Tony served in the US Army during World War II and was a member of the VFW in Jersey City. He was the co-owner of M. Tozzi & Sons of Jersey City and later an operations assistant employed by Hudson County Transport before retiring. Mr. Tozzi was a former parishioner of Holy Rosary RC Church in Jersey City and a member of their Knights of Columbus. Tony had a great love of his family and had been active in the Father's Club at St. Peter's Prep also in Jersey City.

Mr. Tozzi is survived by his beloved sons Michael and his wife Debbie, and Anthony Jr and his wife Maria; his loving grandchildren, Michael, Diana, Nicholas, Anthony J., and Andrew and his cherished great-granddaughters, Lilliana and Bianca.

He was predeceased by his wife, Carmela (Ricciardi) in 2001.

There will be a private cremation.

A memorial gathering will be held at the funeral home on Saturday June 2, 2018 from 12 to 2 PM with a service at 1:30 PM.
