Obituary of Phyllis Mary Ochs

Phyllis M. (Palma) Ochs, age 97, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018. Mrs. Ochs was born in Newark, the daughter of the late Basil and the late Adeline Palma. She lived in Wayne for the last five years, was formerly of Bloomfield for many years, and then moved to Ortley Beach in 1990. Mrs. Ochs was a homemaker. In her younger years, she was an avid dancer. She enjoyed bingo and the casinos. Mrs. Ochs is survived by her beloved children, daughter Carol and her husband Michael Starrs and son Robert and his wife Nancy Ochs; her devoted grandchildren, Brian Starrs, and Robby, Cammi, and Renee Ochs; her cherished great-grandchildren, Meredith and Jack Starrs; and many dear nieces and nephews. Friends are welcome to attend the visiting hours on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 3-7 p.m. with a celebration of her life at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. There will be a private cremation.
