Obituary of Andres Roberto Mesa

Andres R. Mesa, age 94, died Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at home. Mr. Mesa was born in Havana, Cuba, the son of the late Juan and the late Ramona V. (Llanes) Mesa. He lived in Pompton Lakes and was formerly of Prospect Park. Mr. Mesa was a retired assembly line worker employed by Ford Motor Company in Mahwah before starting his own house painting business. He was an avid NY Yankee fan and enjoyed gardening and photography. Mr. Mesa was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 3801. He is survived by his beloved wife Digna (Bruguera) Mesa; his loving children and Sunilda J. (Suny) and her husband Ed Sawey, and Roberto (Bob) and his wife Marlene Mesa; his devoted grandchildren Edward, Jacqueline and Breanna; five cherished great grandchildren; and his dear brother Enrique Mesa and sister Eulalia Paredes. Visiting hours will be Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends are welcome to attend the funeral Mass on Saturday, April 14 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes. There will be a graveside service on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, 295 Totowa Road, Totowa, celebrated by Fr.
