Obituary of Nancy L. Lumley

Nancy L. (Edwards) Lumley, age 87, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Nancy was born December 22, 1930 in Kingston, PA the daughter of the late David J. and the late Ada (Griffith) Edwards. She lived in Wayne and was formerly of Pompton Lakes and Toms River. Nancy was retired from Lakeside School Pompton Lakes, in 1997 where she was a school nurse. She valued education and was proud of her master's degrees both in nursing and counseling. Nancy loved the outdoors. In the summer she loved to sunbathe getting many complements on her great tan. She also loved drawing and traveling. Some of her family vacations included travel to China, Alaska and the Dominican Republic. In her later years Nancy also enjoyed reading and knitting and was most proud of the beautiful baby blanket she recently made for her great-granddaughter Uma. Nancy enjoyed afternoons of pampering at Nisha Nail Salon especially her monthly massage with her friend and massage therapist, Dana. Nancy is survived by her beloved daughters Carol Lumley-Spock and her husband Ted and Nancy Chadwick-Pasko and her husband Barry; loving grandchildren Steven Chadwick, Shawn and his wife Audrey Chadwick and Kelsey Chadwick; her cherished great-grandchildren Wesley and Uma Chadwick and the beloved family dogs Barney, Theo, Petie & Zeus. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kayser Animal Rescue Effort (K.A.R.E.) at animalkare.org where the family dog Theo came from.
