Obituary of Eldridge Stanley Holly
Eldridge S. Holly, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Lakeview Nursing Home in Wayne. Mr. Holly was born September 17th, 1937, in Dover the son of the late Stanley and the late Mabel (Cox) Holly.
El Holly was a machinist by trade and was retired at age 60, after a long successful career with FGH Systems in Denville. He enjoyed taking care of his home, traveling, and was also a model train enthusiast.
El Holly is survived by his life partner, Rose De Luca; his stepchildren, Susan De Luca, Diana De Luca, and Sal De Luca; his own children, Gwendolyn Holly Paulsen, John J. Holly, Catherine Holly Smith; nine grandchildren, Jessica Hill, Michele Saran, Matthew Holly, Alexis Holly, Angela Moore, Jason Moore, Ronald Moore, Sarah Wilcox, and Thomas Holly; nine great-grandchildren, all living in Arizona; his sister Carolyn Richards; and former wife Barbara Kennedy.
He was predeceased by Sandra De Luca Karpinski, his son, a veteran, Edward Holly and his brother, a U.S. Marine veteran, Bogert "Bo" Holly.
There will be a memorial Mass to celebrate El's life on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. St. Gerard Majella RC Church, 501 West Broadway, Paterson.
