Obituary of Harold R. Rozell
Harold R. "Mickey"' Rozell, Sr., age 86, passes away on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at home. Mr. Rozell was born January 9, 1931 in Paterson, the tenth of twelve children of the late Samuel and the late Anna (VanDyke) Rozell. He and his beloved wife Betty (Rhodes) resided in Paterson before settling in Totowa Boro. They had four children, Harold Jr; Donald, Cindy and Scott. Together they enjoyed 63 years of happy marriage and some hardships loosing Donald as a child and Cindy way too soon. Mr. Rozell worked in the construction trades as a roofer for many years and as a union carpenter in Local 124 Carpenters and Millwrights. He always enjoyed working with his hands. Mr. Rozell was very involved as a Scout leader in troop 25 of Totowa Boro for 25 years. Later he volunteered for many functions at the Wayne PAL where Harold Jr. was a trustee. He was well known as a local handyman, always willing to pitch in wherever he could. He will be missed by all who ever met him.
Mr. Rozell is survived by two loving sons, Harold "Harry" Rozell, Jr. and Scott and his wife Susan Rozell; his devoted grandchildren, Jeff, Mark, Kristin, Paul, Christopher, Ryan, Avery and Camryn; and great-grandchildren, Mikaela Lindsay, Colin Lindsay, Rachael, Erin, Tara, Benjamin and Nicholas Rozell and six step-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Betty (Rhodes); son, Donald; daughter, Cynthia Lindsay and daughter-in-law, Joan (Tencza).
Visiting hours will be Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the funeral home with a service at 12:00 noon celebrated by Pastor Ed Hawkins.
Interment will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
