Obituary of Rita Louise Monteleon

Rita (Bianchi) Monteleon, age 90, passed away Friday, October 13, 2017 at Sunrise Assisted Living, Wayne. Mrs. Monteleon was born July 15, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY. Rita was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Joseph P. Monteleon (2004). She was the daughter of the late Edward A. Bianchi and the late Catherine (Maggiolo) Bianchi. Rita lived in the Smoke Rise section of Kinnelon for more than 30 years. Rita was a dietician until Joe's career took them away from Brooklyn, first to Smoke Rise, then Milwaukee and eventually back to Smoke Rise. Together they enjoyed traveling the world and had many great adventures. Rita continued to savor her independence, good food and company until her death. Rita is survived by her cousins, Catherine Granata, Mary Ann Granata and Irene Payne. Visiting on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 10-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home followed by the funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke, Wayne.
