Obituary of Arthur F. Cousemaker
Arthur F. Cousemaker, age 90, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012. Mr. Cousemaker was born July 9, 1922 in Paterson, the son of the late Gustave and the late Fannie (Verhulst) Cousemaker. He lived in Paterson for many years. In 1954, after serving in World War II and the Korean War, he built a house in Wayne. He was a salesman in the NY District for True Temper in Ohio, retiring in 1984. Previously he was employed by Federbush Co. in Paterson. Mr. Cousemaker was a member of Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church and the first Scout Master for Troop 108 there. He was also a member of the American Legion in Mountainview. Mr. Cousemaker was an avid golfer, playing 3 times a week after retiring.
Mr. Cousemaker is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Helen (Kubiak); his loving children Carol and her husband James Wegman, Janet Cousemaker, and David and his wife Carol Cousemaker; his cherished grandchildren, Derek and Andrew Cousemaker, Nico Giambanco, and Kelly, Brian, and Daniel Wegman.
Visiting hours will be Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
The funeral will be Saturday at 8:00 a.m. at the funeral home and Mass at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church, 630 Valley Rd., Wayne will be celebrated by Msgr. Chris DiLella.
Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
