Obituary of Yolanda B. Mitchell

Yolanda B. (DeLuccia) Mitchell, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Milford Manor, West Milford. Mrs. Mitchell was born April 15, 1924 in Paterson, the daughter of the late John and the late Rose (Tirri) DeLuccia. She was recently of Sparta, but lived most of her life in Paterson. Mrs. Mitchell was employed by Fancy Cleaners in North Haledon and later by the Board of Education in Paterson as a cafeteria worker at School 26. She was a former member of St. Therese R.C. Church in Paterson. Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her beloved daughters Sharon Terhune and Barbara and her husband John Cichon; her cherished grandchildren, Ryan and Danielle Cichon; her loving siblings Jenny Zappola, Evelyn Sposa and Frank and his wife Frances DeLuccia and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Jerry, her sister Lucy Salvatore and her brother Alfonse "Fonzie" DeLuccia. Visiting hours will be Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral Mass will be Friday, June 16 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
