Obituary of Maria Carlino

Maria (Cardone) Carlino, age 93, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital of Wayne, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Carlino was born July 25, 1923 in Paterson, the daughter of the late Joseph late Elena (Cinminio) Cardone. She lived in Wayne for the last 22 years and was formerly of Paterson. She was a member of St Gerard Majella R.C. Church and their Senior Club. Mrs. Carlino is the beloved wife of the late Robert Carlino, and loving mother of the Joanne De Chellis and her husband Giuliano of Lyndhurst, and the late Richard Carlino. Devoted grandmother of her four grandchildren, Robert and Nicholas De Chellis; Christina LaBate and her husband Nick; Joseph Carlino and his wife Erica, and her great granddaughter Veronica LaBate. Dear sister of Gloria Caputo and her husband Vince of Wayne, Anne DiGiamo of Fair Lawn, and John Cardone of Butler, and sister-in-law Connie Carlino of Myrtle Beach, SC. Maria is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Irene Giliberti, Amelia Wdowiak, and her brother Mario Cardone. Visiting hours will be Friday, April 14, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. The funeral service will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home and will be celebrated by Father Scott F. Attanasio. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
