Obituary of Dorothy Marie McNamara

Dorothy Marie (Biehler) McNamara, age 94, died Monday, March 17, 2014 at Good Shepard Hospice, Auburndale, FL. Mrs. McNamara was born November 25, 1919 in Paterson, NJ the daughter of the late Albert and the late Edith (Butterworth) Biehler. Mrs. McNamara lived in Hawthorne all of her life and worked at the Rag Shop there for many years before retiring. She never had a driver's license and she walked everywhere she went. She was an avid sewer and crafter. Mrs. McNamara was the beloved mother of Joan and her husband Rich McAteer and George M, Jr. and his wife Barbara McNamara; loving grandmother of Kelly and her husband Robert Madden, Erin and her husband Brian Buddy; and devoted great-grandmother of Hallie and Alexis. She was predeceased by her husband, George M, Sr. in 1959 and her siblings Albert and Thelma. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m. The funeral will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home and will be celebrated by Rev. Michael McKay. Interment will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mrs. McNamara's name may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave, Auburndale, FL 33823.
