Obituary of Sam Blanos
Sam Blanos, age 66, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2016 at the Christian Healthcare Center in Wyckoff, New Jersey.
Sam was born on June 4th, 1950. He grew up in Clifton, New Jersey, graduating from Clifton High School in 1968. Sam later resided in Hawthorne, NJ.
Sammy graduated from Bloomfield College and went on to attain a Masters degree from The College of New Jersey. Prior to his career in sales, Sam was a drug rehabilitation counselor.
He was an avid skier and loved golf and the outdoors. He enjoyed traveling to Greece and spending time with relatives on the island of Samos. He talked about all of his adventures and desire to continue visiting.
Sam was more than an uncle to his nieces and nephew; they were the apples of his eyes. He would ring the doorbell 20 times just to make an entrance at family gatherings and could always be counted on to make the room laugh with his funny voices and character impressions. Sammy was a kid at heart. While he may not have lived as long as he should have, one thing is for sure, he lived more life in his 66 years than most do in a century.
Sammy was the devoted son of the late Jean and George Blanos. He is survived by his loving sister, Donna Blanos Kestecher, her husband, Lenny, his niece and nephew, Alexa and Jason, and Jason's wife, Alisa. Sam is also survived by his brother John Blanos and wife Natalya and daughters Kristina and Katerina.
He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. We love you, Sam.
