Obituary of Vicenta Rosario Gonzalez

Vicenta Lopez Rosario Gonzalez passed away at the Health Center at Bloomingdale on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at age 95. Mrs. Vicenta Lopez Rosario Gonzalez was born to Isidoro Rosario and Florentina Lopez in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico on January 10, 1921. In 1948 Vicenta migrated to New York City where she married Mr. Julio Gonzalez. Vicenta is survived by three daughters: Ada Gonzalez Delgado, Julia Leon, and Millie Cortez; her 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Julio Gonzalez, her daughters Lydia Zurita Martinez, Rose Gonzalez and her son Julio Ricky Gonzalez. Mrs. Vicenta who ruled with an iron hand, always enjoyed music, dancing, and dressing up for special occasions but most of all she got pleasure from family gatherings. She can best be remembered by her loving spirit, her smile and most of all her sense of humor. The family will receive friends on Monday December 5, 2016 from 10:00 am to 12 noon at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd, Wayne with Fr. Joe Juracek celebrating her life at 11:30 am.
