Obituary of Donald Wayne Phelps

Donald Wayne Phelps, age 55, of Athens, NY died suddenly on Wednesday, February 26, 2014. He grew up in Upper Saddle River, NJ and was a 1977 graduate of Northern Highlands High School. Donald attended R.E.T.S. for training in electronics. He was the caretaker of the Historical Estate Stillwood in Catskill, NY and was previously a photo engraver for Direct Gravure in Nutley, NJ. Donald was an avid hunter and raised pheasants for release into the local area. He truly loved the great outdoors. Donald is survived by his beloved father James and step-mother Betty R. Phelps; his dear brothers Allen and his wife Rachael and Brian and his companion Kerry; 3 nephews and his loving fiance Eileen Williams, her children Raymond and Kaylan and her 2 grandsons. Relatives and friends are invited to the visiting hours on Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
