Obituary of Sarah Louise Mauthe

Sarah Louise (Manger) Mauthe, age 71, died Thursday, February 27, 2014 at home in Elmwood Park. Mrs. Mauthe was born August 14, 1942 in Paterson, the daughter of the late William Walter and the late Sarah (Carmen) Manger. She lived in Elmwood Park and was formerly of Clifton. She was a mother to her own family and the whole community. Mrs. Mauthe took in the needy when she was poor herself and cared for the children of many. Her smile lit up a room. The void she left will never be filled and the imprint she left will never be duplicated. Mrs. Mauthe was the beloved mother of Kathleen and her husband Claudio Lettieri, Mary Kelly, Timothy Sickles and his wife Cynthia Cabral-Sickles, and Jonathan Mauthe and his wife Aimee Cooke; loving grandmother of Jenny, Christine, Christopher, Margaret, Ryan and Gabrielle; devoted great-grandmother of Lennox, Maya and Natalie; dear sister of Sandra Kauker; and caring aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Mauthe (2002) and was previously married to Charles Sickles. She was also predeceased by her son Joseph. There was a private cremation.
