Obituary of Elaine Ciscon
Elaine (Palumbo) Ciscon, age 71, died peacefully on Friday, September 30, 2016 at home in Wayne. Mrs. Ciscon was born May 15, 1945 in Fairview, NJ the daughter of the late Vito and the late Anna (Danielle) Palumbo. She grew up in Oakland and graduated from Ramapo High School. At age 17 she was employed by NJ Bell, Totowa, and later became the Business Office Supervisor before retiring. On May 26, 1968 she married the love of her life John Ciscon.
When King's had its Cooking Studio in Wayne she would be the sous-chef for many chefs as she enjoyed cooking, especially for her family and friends. After Elaine retired, she enjoyed volunteering at the school library in the district where her daughter teaches. Since she was an avid reader she also looked forward to attending the book club she belonged to at the Wayne Public Library. John and Elaine both volunteered for Hands across New Jersey. Mrs. Ciscon was a member of Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, Wayne.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, John Ciscon; her loving daughter Cynthia A. and her husband Keith R. Kirk; and her dear brother Francis Palumbo.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 4-8 p.m.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 05, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. and will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo.
Private cremation and then burial will follow.
