Obituary of Concetta Valentinetti
On the 14th day of September at 10:55 pm our beloved mother, Concetta (Tina) Valentinetti, went home to be with the Lord.
Born in West New York, NJ on October 16, 1926, Concetta was the fifth child of Giuseppe and Antoinette (LoPiccolo). Concetta grew up in the Bronx, NY before marrying John Amatulli, moving to Harlem and then Wayne, NJ in 1956. She was known for her skill and passion for cooking and baking, and owned Michael's Mom's Luncheonette in Clifton for fifteen years. Always placing family above everything, she was a constant source of kindness, inspiration, generosity and undying love and devotion.
She will be honored by those fortunate to have known her, including her children, John, Nanette, MaryAnn and husband Harry Haring, Michael and wife Lisa (Matthews), her grandchildren Anastasia, Laura, Micah, David, Kate and her fiancé John Zakrzewski (Kate held Grandma's hand as she passed), Diana and husband Kevin Beagin, Laura and husband John Champion, Emily and fiancé A.J. Reitter, Jessica and husband Chris Conforti, & Vianna Fagel; her great-grandchildren, Ryan, Aaron, Kathryn, Ariana, Kevin, Emma & Jillian; and her younger brother and sister Vito and Santa.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Susan and her siblings Mary, Bernardo, Vincenza and Frank.
Visiting hours will be Sunday from 3-8 PM.
The funeral Mass will be Monday at 9:30 am at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes will be celebrated by Fr. Richard Husted.
Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
