Obituary of Edith Nicholas

Edith (De Caprio) Nicholas, age 89, died suddenly on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at home in Wayne. Mrs. Nicholas was born January 27, 1925 in Paterson, the daughter of the late Pasquale and the late Josephine De Caprio. She retired from Singer Kearfott in West Paterson where she was an electrical inspector. Mrs. Nicholas was a member of the Wayne Senior Citizens. Mrs. Nicholas is survived by her beloved son Steven and his wife Ida; her loving daughter-in-law, Laola Nicholas; her devoted grandchildren, Lisa and her husband Claudio, Beth and her husband Patrick, and Steven; and her cherished great-grandson, Ronnie. She will be sadly missed by her favorite dog Mojo. Mrs. Nicholas was predeceased by her husband, Harold, Sr. "Unk" and son, Harold, Jr. Visiting hours will be Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. The funeral will be Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Laurel Grove Mausoleum, Totowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mrs. Nicholas' name may be made to the New Jersey Fireman's Home, 516 Lathrop Avenue, Boonton, NJ 07005
