Obituary of Ann A. Farese

Ann (Tramontano) Farese, age 89, died Monday, August 1, 2016 at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown. Mrs. Farese was born October 17, 1926 in Plainfield, the daughter of the late Camilo and the late Madeline (Perenti) Tramontano. She was formerly of Jersey City and lived in Wayne for the past 60 years. While Mrs. Farese was attending Jersey City Medical Center for nursing, she cared for and met her future husband Jerry, who was injured in World War II. She was a registered nurse at the Lincoln Park Nursing Home for 19 years before retiring. Mrs. Farese was a founding member of Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church, a Eucharist minister and the treasurer of the Women's organization. She loved to play bridge. Mrs. Farese is survived by her beloved children, Renee and her husband Joe Gillies, Lisa and her husband Scott Freidenrich, James and his wife Susan, Lawrence and his wife Patti and Jerry Farese; devoted grandmother of fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and dear sister of Josephine Viola. She was predeceased by her husband, Jerry in 2013. Visiting hours will be Thursday August 4, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. The funeral Mass will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church, 630 Valley Rd., Wayne and will be celebrated by Father ST Sutton. Memorial donations in Mrs. Farese's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905
