Obituary of Florence V. Thomas

Florence V. (Hagedorn) Thomas, age 91, died Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, PA. Mrs. Thomas was born March 9, 1925 in North Haledon, the daughter of the late Anthony and the late Adrianna (Berdan) Hagedorn. She was a resident of Wayne for over 60 years. Mrs. Thomas was employed by Kresgee’s Department Store, State Farm Insurance Company, Northeastern Bible College Bookstore in Essex Fells and Charles Thomas Builder, Inc. as a bookkeeper. She, and her late husband Rev. Charles Thomas, were founding and long-time members of Calvary Gospel Church in Wayne. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her beloved daughter Janet Lynn and her husband John R. Herringer; six loving grandchildren; thirteen cherished great-grandchildren; and her dear sisters Marion Roof and Ethel Moore of California. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Rev. Charles Thomas, and her sister Gladys Fieldhhouse. The funeral will be Monday at 11:00 am at Calvary Gospel Church, 1559 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne and will be celebrated by Pastor Louis Curcio. Interment will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
