Obituary of Raymond James Orland

Raymond James Orland, age 86, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Regency Gardens Nursing Center, Wayne. Mr. Orland was born February 12, 1928 in Paterson, NJ the son of the late Salvatore and the late Elizabeth (Daly) Orland. A longtime resident of Wayne, he retired from Wayne Board Of Education in 1994 where he was an Attendance Officer. Mr. Orland was a proud member of the US Marine Corps serving during World War II from 1946-1948. When Raymond was 17, he met the love of his life, Genevieve Doyle. It was true love at first sight; the happy couple were married on April 30, 1949 and shared 64 wonderful years together. Raymond was predeceased by his wife, Genevieve in April 26, 2013. He was the beloved father of Raymond and his wife Deborah Orland of Colton, NY, Jane and her husband Michael Cologna of Dover, PA and Tracy and her husband Steven Wondoloski of Wayne, NJ. Devoted grandfather of Nicholas Orland, Melanie Stone and Emily and Matthew Wondoloski, dear brother of Bernadette Elsaesser of CT and loving cousin to many. In lieu of Flowers, Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905. All services are private at the request of the family.
