Obituary of Joann Becker

Joann (Pepe) Becker, age 74, died Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick Township. Mrs. Becker was born April 29, 1942 in Newark, the daughter of the late Ralph and the late Marie (Savarese) Pepe. Mrs. Becker resided in Wayne for 46 years before moving to Manchester Township 2 ½ years ago. She was an Executive Administrative Assistant at various offices before retiring from Medco Health Solutions in Franklin Lakes in 2009. Mrs. Becker was a member of Our Lady of Consolation RC Church, and was active in their Amity Club and prayer shawl group. Mrs. Becker is survived by her beloved children, Richard, Jr. and his wife Audrey, and Sandra Becker and her fiance Daniel Strasser; her loving siblings, Christine Sadowski and Ralph Pepe, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Richard Paul, Sr. in February 2016, and her sister, Grace Floridia on 2003. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends are welcome to attend the funeral on Friday at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home and Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne which will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
