Obituary of Mark Joseph Emaus
Mark Joseph Emaus, age 55, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pompton Lakes. Born in Paterson, NJ, Mark was the son of the late Nancy (Wood) and Joseph Henry Emaus. He grew up in Paterson and Lionshead Lake (Wayne) NJ and spent his last years in Newfoundland, NJ.
Mark was funny, witty, talented, and handsome. He brought joy and encouragement to everyone he met. He was an actor with the West Milford Players, a guest performer with The Collinsport Players, vocalist, an assistant director at the New York Renaissance Faire, and worked as managers in other businesses, most recently at Applebee's in Butler, NJ.
Mark is survived by his domestic partner, Victor Rivera; his father Joseph Emaus; his sister Athena Victory and her husband Hercules Invictus; his nephew Brandon Witcher; his niece, Lilah Rodgers and her husband, Jeff; and our close cousins: Linda Beckering, Marlene Hardcastle, John and Pat Koppenal, James and Lisa Koppenal, Michael and Dineen Koppenal, Joseph and Beth Lattone, Vicky Lynn Lattone, and Lisa McCormick; beloved friends; and extended family.
Friends are welcome to attend the memorial service and repast at Christ Episcopal Church, 400 Ramapo Ave, Pompton Lakes, NJ 07442 on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 7:00 pm. A small private interment of cremains will be at Laurel Grove Memorial Park Cemetery, Totowa on Wednesday.
