Obituary of Ann Simone

Ann (Alberta) Simone, age 95, of Riverdale, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in Wayne, New Jersey. Mrs. Simone was born April 30, 1918 in Connecticut, the daughter of the late Thomas and the late Julia Alberta. When they married on March 23, 1941, she and her husband Michael lived in Jersey City, Rutherford, Wayne, then most recently in Riverdale. Mrs. Simone worked in the mortgage department and retired in 1983 from the First National Bank of NJ in Totowa. She was a member of Our Lady of Consolation RC Church and the Wayne Golden Agers Club. Mrs. Simone is survived by her beloved son Thomas; her devoted grandchildren Anthony, David, Thomas, Eugene, Lauren and Jennifer; her cherished great-grandchildren, Allie, Tyler, Eren, Michael and Dante; and her dear daughter-in-law, Susan (Bodtlander) and son-in-law, Eugene Thomas. She was predeceased by her husband Michael F. Simone in 2008, her daughter, Marie Thomas, her son, Anthony, her daughter-in-law, Gail (Benson) and her granddaughter, Michelle. Visiting hours will be Monday, February 17, 2014 from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home. The funeral Mass will follow on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne and will be celebrated by Fr. Edward Lambro. Entombment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
