Obituary of Dorothy May DeAlesandro

Dorothy May ''Dot'' (Chisari) DeAlesandro, age 86, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016 at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, Paterson. Mrs. DeAlesandro was born May 9, 1929 in Paterson, the daughter of the late Antonio and the late Rose (Pierro) Chisari. Formerly of Paterson, she lived in Montville for the past 20 years. Mrs. DeAlesandro was a member of St. Mary's Rosary Society, Paterson; St. Pius X Rosary Society, Montville; and the Montville Seniors. Mrs. DeAlesandro is survived by her beloved son Al and his wife Tracy DeAlesandro; her loving grandchildren, Alyssa and Joseph; and her dear siblings, Josephine Giudice, Joseph and his wife Lynn Chisari, and Anthony and his wife Marge Chisari. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred "Cookie" and her sister, Dolores Verga. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends are welcome to attend the funeral Mass on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius X R.C. Church, 24 Changebridge Rd, Montville which will be celebrated by Fr. Marc Mancini. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
