Obituary of Michael Robert Padula
Michael Robert Padula, age 88, of Totowa, formerly of Paterson, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 14, 2016. He was born October 16, 1927 in Paterson, the son of the late Robert and Angelina (Chirchella) Padula. Michael proudly served in the US Army as a member of 716th military police battalion during World War II. He was certified in Advanced Traffic Management and served as Vice President of North Jersey Traffic Club. He was the owner of Grand Trucking Co and served as General Traffic Manager for Berles Carton Co. for 32 years and Thermwell Co. in Mahwah, retiring in 1994. Michael was a diehard fan of the New York Giants football team for over 50 years. He was a member of the Franklin Club and the Italian Circle Men's Club.
Michael was the husband of Marie (Trifari) Padula; beloved father of Janice Billera and Roberta (Bobbi) Enright; cherished grandfather (Poppy) of William Enright and his wife Kristen, Michael R. Enright and his wife Mariel, Michele (Billera) Scasserra and her husband Michael; great-grandfather of newborn Mason Enright; and loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Frank (2010).
The family will receive friends on Sunday April 17, 2016 from 3-7 PM at Moore's Home for Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd, Wayne. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Monday at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne.
