Obituary of Edna Mae Knapp
Edna Mae (Miller) Knapp, age 88, died Thursday, March 3, 2016 at home in Hawthorne. Mrs. Knapp was born April 12, 1927 in Paterson, the daughter of the late Harold and the late Mae (Campbell) Miller. She formerly resided in Wayne, and lived in Ramsey for over 30 years. Before retiring, Mrs. Knapp was a sales associate at Felsway Corp. and Sterns, both in Wayne. Mrs. Knapp was a member of the Cornerstone Christian Church in Wyckoff, and previously attended the Jacksonville Chapel in Lincoln Park. She loved to sing and was a member of both church choirs and also the Stewart Smith Singers.
Mrs. Knapp is survived by her beloved children, Shirley Knapp, Donna Knapp and Edward and his wife Kelly Knapp; her loving grandchildren, Jessica Dierking, Katherine Knapp, Joseph Knapp, Tina Grossi, Jennifer Dirr, Michelle Grossi, Scott Knapp and Stephen Knapp; her cherished great-grandchildren, Cameron, Leila, Briana, Anthony, Matthew, Ethan, Jonathan, Mackenzie and Ciara; and her dear sister Marlyn.
She was predeceased by her son, Harold Knapp; her granddaughter, Sarah Knapp; and her brothers, Harold Miller Jr. and Newton Miller.
Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m.
The funeral will be Monday at 10:30 am at the funeral home and will be celebrated by Pastor Richard Higby.
Interment will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
