Obituary of Patricia G. Martinez

Patricia (Morello) Martinez, 74, of Wayne passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016. She grew up in Newark and was the daughter of Joseph and Stephanie (Janoska). After marrying the late David Martinez, they moved to Belleville where they lived for 34 years. Patricia enjoyed her job as an office manager at Dr. Landolfi's office for over 30 years. She had a knack for decorating, cleaning, and cooking great food; especially her Thanksgiving stuffing, which was loved by all! She loved to read romance novels, gamble at Sands casino, and spend time watching old movies. Patricia adored her family, and will always be remembered for her big heart, loving nature, and sophisticated sense of style. She loved getting her hair and nails done and took great pride in her appearance. Patricia will be missed by her son Joseph and his wife Kim, and her daughter Stefanie and her husband Scott Pyper, and her daughter-in-law, Carolyn. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, David, Jacqueline, Alexandra, Valerie, Samantha, Robert and Hannah whom she adored and loved spending time with. Patricia was affectionately referred to as MARMIE by her grandchildren. She also leaves behind her niece Toni Ann (Serratelli) and her husband Bill Penner, and their children Eve and Edward, and a devoted sister-in-law Inez Massucci and brother-in-law, Hank Martinez. She was predeceased by her husband, Dave; son, David; brother, Joseph Morello; and sister, Joan Serratelli. Patricia's family welcomes those who would like to join them as they remember her life on Thursday March 3, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home, with a service at 7:0p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Patricia to a charity of your choice.
