Obituary of Daniel Edward McMurtrie

Daniel Edward McMurtrie, age 91, died Friday, January 15, 2016 at The Valley Hospital, Ridgewood. Mr. McMurtrie was born September 13, 1924 in Elizabeth, NJ the son of the late Clarence and the late Helen (Crawford) McMurtrie. He lived in Wayne before moving to Paramus. He served in the US Army during World War II and was employed by Castro Convertibles in Paramus, as a salesman before retiring. Mr. McMurtrie is survived by his beloved wife Mary Lynn (Van Lenten) McMurtrie; his loving daughter Diane Rose and her husband Robert Sudol; her devoted son Tim and his wife Alexandra McMurtrie; and her dear grandsons, Robert Daniel Sudol, Ryan James Sudol and Evan McMurtrie. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marie (Codispoti) McMurtrie. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. There will be a funeral service at 6:30 p.m. with Father Emmet Murphy officiating. Military honors to follow.
