Obituary of Stanley Frank Karow
Stanley Frank Karow, age 73, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at home in Wayne. Mr. Karow was born January 26, 1942 in Glen Ridge, NJ the son of the late Frank Stanley and the late Margaret (Buzeski) Karow. He lived in Wayne the last 44 years and was formerly of Bloomfield. He served in the US Marine Corps during Vietnam War. He was employed by Passaic County Road Department as a Bridge & Road Engineer before retiring. Mr. Karow was a member of A.H.A. Rifle Club of Bloomfield. He loved fishing on his boat,Yellowfin, out of Brick, NJ, hunting in NJ and NY for deer and also built four Hotrods out of nothing.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years: Mary Ann(Potorencki) Karow, his loving children : Stefanie Hale and Mark Karow, cherished grandsons, Ben and Ryan Hale, dear sister: Patricia and her husband Anthony LoManto; devoted sister-in-law, Katherine Potorencki and nephew, Michael and his wife Michelle LoManto.
He was predeceased by his sister and brother in law, Virginia and Joseph LoManto.
Visiting will be Wednesday, January 6, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday at 9:30am at St. Mary's RC Church,17 Pompton Ave. Pompton Lakes.
Interment will be private at NJ Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown.
