Obituary of Joan Hossack
Joan (Bologna) Hossack, age 84, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015, surrounded by her family at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital. Mrs. Hossack was born June 11, 1931 in Hawthone, NJ the daughter of the late Richard and the late Anna (Jacobus) Bologna. She lived in Haledon. She was employed by 1st National Bank of NJ in Totowa for many years as a general ledger clerk before retiring in 1993. Joan loved her family and was always laughing and joking and telling funny stories especially with her grandchildren. She was an avid bowler and won many trophies. Joan was also a huge NY Giants fan as well as a faithful NY Yankee fan.
She is survived by her three daughters: Linda Fonseca , Jo Ann Hossack, and Donna and her husband Frank Anselmo, granddaughter, Caressa and her husband Steve Howlett, granddaughter, Tanya Fonseca, granddaughter, Victoria Fonseca and her fiance Ian Mendez, granddaughter, Samantha Anselmo, grandson, Matthew Anselmo and great-grandson, Jonathan Howlett and two sisters: Mildred Last and Jean Bivona
She was predeceased by her brothers, Richard and Wilbur Bolan and son in law: Richard Foncesa.
The Memorial Mass will be Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 6:00 pm at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne and will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo.
