Obituary of Theresa Colligan

Theresa (Rinaldo) Colligan, age 54, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Hospice of New Jersey, Wayne. Mrs. Colligan was born September 3, 1961 in Pompton Plains, NJ the daughter of the late Vincent and Dorothy (Clarke) Rinaldo. She lived in Wayne and was formerly of Oak Ridge. Theresa was a 1979 graduate of Wayne Hills high school and also a graduate of Bergen Community College with a degree in Nursing. She was employed by Dr. H. Abessi in Wayne, as a Registered Nurse and Office Manager while working at St. Joseph's Hospital as well. Mrs. Colligan was a member of Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church and was the first child baptized there. She is survived by her Beloved husband of 30 years: John; her devoted daughter: Nicole Marie Colligan, her loving mother Dorothy (Clarke) Rinaldo; her dear sisters: Christine and her husband Anthony Melione, Mariane Rinaldo, Lisa and her husband Garry DeFilippis and Denise and her husband Nicholas VanTol, her brothers: Robert and his wife Jennifer Rinaldo; James and Stephen Rinaldo as well as many nieces and nephews. Theresa was predeceased by her granddaughter, Adrianna Michaela Vassilatos, her father, Vincent Rinaldo, her fraternal grandparents, James & Theresa Rinaldo, maternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Clarke and her aunt, Victoria Rinaldo. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-5 & 7-9PM. The funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 10:30 am at Our Lady of The Valley R.C. Church, 630 Valley Rd., Wayne and will be celebrated by Father Peter Wells. Interment will be in Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
