Obituary of Claire S. Sydor

Claire S. (Schinski) Sydor, age 96, died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Mrs. Sydor was born April 10, 1917 in Hackensack, the eighth of nine children born to the late Stanley and the late Cecelia Schinski. She resided in Hasbrouck Heights, moved to Lanoka Harbour in 1971, and recently moved to Wayne. She was an active member of St Pius X RC Church and the GFWC Women's Club of Lacey. Mrs. Sydor survived by her dear brother George Schinski of Montvale; her beloved children, Jack Sydor and his wife Bette of Wayne and H. Virginia Cameron of Poulsbo, WA; seven loving grandchildren, Sandra Haupt and her husband Carl, Kathleen Duddy and her husband Christopher, Patricia Schablik and her husband Jeremy, Susan Bleignier and her husband Daniel Dolce, Amy Diroff and her husband Brad, John Bleignier and his wife Nicolette and Michael Cameron. She is also survived by her cherished great-grandchildren, Ryan, Scott and Keith Haupt, Jack and Brooke Duddy, Erica and Kayla Schablik, Brian and Todd Diroff, and Gabriel Bleignier. In addition, she leaves many nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Sydor was predeceased by her husband, John K. Sydor, Sr. and her daughter, Claire Bleignier. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral Mass will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary R.C. Church, 45 Urban Club Rd., Wayne and will be celebrated by Msgr. Peter J. Doody.
