Obituary of Amelia L. Giovannielli

Amelia Louise Giovannielli, age 95, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Regency Gardens Nursing Center in Wayne. Mrs. Giovannielli was born January 7, 1920 in Hoboken, the daughter of the late Peter and the late Angelina (Miotto) Guisto. She lived in Wayne for 17 years and was formerly of Union City and Lodi. Mrs. Giovannielli was a member of the Golden Age of Wayne and she volunteered at Calvary Temple, working with the children for several years. Mrs. Giovannielli is survived by her beloved sons, Michael and his wife Adrianne, and Peter and his wife the late Marie; her devoted grandchildren, Kim, Lori, Peter and Christopher; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Katie, Nicholas, Michael, Brian Joseph, Reese, Marie and Regan. She was predeceased by her husband, Dominick and nine siblings. Visiting hours will be Friday, October 2, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. The funeral will be Saturday October 3, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home and Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary R.C. Church, 45 Urban Club Rd., Wayne will be celebrated by Fr. Louis J. Scurti. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
