Obituary of Michael Alphonse Demeyer
Michael Alphonse Demeyer, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in Evansville, IN. Mr. Demeyer was born November 17, 1922 in Halluin, France, the son of the late Achilles and the late Madeline (Sierens) Demeyer. Formerly of Wayne, he lived in New Jersey most of his life before moving to Southbury, CT and Indiana. He was a very good woodworker and especially enjoyed making clocks. Mr. Demeyer was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Indiana and previously of Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church in Wayne.
Mr. Demeyer is survived by his loving children: daughters, Rosemary and her husband Mike McGarrah, Linda and her husband Dirk Arrington, Elizabeth and her husband Mark Dransfield; and sons, Michael and his wife Miggi, John and his wife Betsy and Steven and his wife Tracy; fifteen cherished grandchildren and six precious great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Agatha (Kuhn) in 2008.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 3-5 p.m.
The funeral will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home and will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo.
Interment will follow in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
