It was a privilege to know Joes. The mutual love between he and Mary Jo was an inspiration, and her care for him to the very end was moving. Much love and prayers to Mary Jo during this time of remembering and adjustment.

Dear Mary Jo,
Our deepest condolences on the loss of your dear husband, Joes. We so enjoyed his friendship, the days spent BBQ’ing by our pool or evenings talking over pasta fagioli and salad at your dining room table. (I remember how intrigued Victor was when he first saw how that table could expand as Joes explained the mechanism to him.) We are honored to have known him and we will miss him. Although we cannot be with you today and tomorrow, please know that we are holding you close in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and to Joes’ family in Italy. May he rest in peace.
Love, Valerie and Victor

Dear Mary Jo, my deepest condolences to you on the loss of your beloved Joe. I remember your engagement many years ago and your steadfastness in saying "yes" while others said "why?" The love you shared proved stronger than the "common wisdom" of the time. And now your love is stronger than death itself. May the Lord of all consolation be with you in all ways and at all times.

Dear Mary Jo,
I just received the information about your husband's death. I am so sorry. You had a blessed life together, enriched by many relationships and shared activity. I was moved by the obituary, and by your own description of his last days in this world.
If I were able, I would surely want to participate in the services for him. As it is, I must travel this weekend to Michigan for an event in my own family.
I will be with you in spirit, however, and will remember you, your family, and Joes as you companion him in his journey from this world to another, you holding him on this end, and his loved ones in heaven welcoming him into the reign of God. May he rest in peace, and may you be comforted by not only the memories you have of your life together, but your sense of his "new presence" with you in the community of all the saints.
Love, and peace,
Margaret Farley

Mary Jo & Family,
I knew when you called the other morning that it was not with good news, and sadly Inwas right. I am heartbroken about Joes' passing and for your loss. But I will always have a smile on my face and joy in my heart when I think of the Maestro! I have many great memories of him and you -- fast food pasta (our first meeting), snorkeling in the keys, golfing :-), pizza on the beach, many times dog sitting for you guys, and of course, when Jim and I met up with you two during our Honeymoon as we rolled through South Florida. Perhaps a great monument and memorial we will always have of the Maestro is the "small" mahogany table (that doesn't expand) which is perfect for our home. A testament to his genius craftsmanship. All these wonderful memories of a terrific man and friend!
With lots of love and hugs and prayers,
Janine, Jim, Baby Justin & Family

Please be assured that we will keep you and your family in out thoughts and prayers.
