My deep, deep condolences to Katherine and the entire Ledwith family. I am sorry I cannot be there for your father's funeral. Am sending you hugs and love from Massachusetts. Although some memories do fade, my memories of The Ledwiths will remain. Spending time with them in one form or another was a gift. I will never forget how I was referred as "the dancer". I was intrigued by his commitment to the USA and his service with the FBI. On my civil service test day, I thought about Mr. Ledwith and his service, which was one of the very reasons why I pursued a career within the Department of Defense. I will forever miss running into them as I often did as each and every time it put a smile on my face. They always had time for a bit of friendly and meaningful conversation. Mr. Ledwith was a true original; unique, witty, caring and intelligent. The Ledwiths..a "match" made in heaven. They touched many-a-heart during their time here with us. My life being better for having the honor of knowing them. Rest in Peace Mr. L.and may you forever be smiling and dancing the night away. I will never forget you both.

Dear Katherine and Family, We are so very sorry to get this news. We hear about these kinds of things quite a bit, with one parent passing and then the other soon after. It is hard to get through this loss for those of us who are still on "this plane", mainly because we miss them so much. But it is amazing that they are together again. Dear Ledwith Family, I would like to express my sorrow at the passing of your wonderful Father. The story told in his obituary is a beautiful tribute to the life that he helped create for each of you, along with your lovely Mother. Together they brought joy, laughter and love into our world, all of which is reflected in the lives that each of you have created for your own families. I will always remember Mr.Ledwith's kindness toward my then young son, Michael, as he shared his love of reading with him through his Scholastic books. It's as if he searched for a connection with him and then drew him in and expressed sincere interest in him. Your parents passed those wonderful gifts of faith, caring and dedication on to you. I thank you for sharing those gifts with me, in the past as we were all growing up together, as well as in the present, and in the years to come, I pray you will continue to feel both your Mother's and Father's presence and love in a very special way.
